GERMANY

Naval Minister

The Admirals are glad to hear of the Chancellor's ambitious plan to expand the fleet, but adds that just having ships won't be enough to create a global empire. The Navy needs naval bases in the Virgin Islands, Africa and New Guinea if it is to become a global force, and additional shipyards in Germany so that future build-ups can happen at an accelerated rate.

War Minister

At this time, the Ministry has nothing to add beyond the fact that Germany has always been a land power and that should remain its strength.

Interior Minister

Several organizations of coal miners in the Rhineland are demanding that we mandate an eight-hour work day, similar to what has been enacted at several factories across the nation. The coal mining companies claim that establishing this limitation will force the closure of several mines.

Foreign Minister

There is considerable alarm in the foreign ministries of neighboring nations, due to the bombastic nature of our proclamations of a new German era.

Minister of Colonies

The Minister of Colonies presents to the Cabinet his grand plan for the Dark Continent; a rail line connecting Kamerun with German East Africa. This would enable the movement of goods between the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans without transit through the British-controlled Suez Canal or Cape of South Africa.

The Governor of Iceland has sent a message noting that Germans have been settling there, establishing a German majority on the island.
