The Empire of Germany brings warm greetings to the Japanese Empire. It is our hope that German - Japanese relations can continue to improve as our nations continue to walk the path of friendship.

However, it is with some disappointment that Germany must back out of a deal we had entered into with Japan. In the year of 1899, Germany agreed to build two Armoured Cruisers for the Empire of Japan. It is Germany's decision at this point in time to rescind that offer - the two armoured cruisers, which are being built in German ports, are at this moment in time being re-outfitted to join the Kaiserliche Marine and at the moment of their finished construction will be incorporated into the Kaiserliche Marine. They will not be sent to Japan.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to the Prime Minister or Emperor.
